Prof. Manchanda is the Joint Secretary of the Society since August 1999. After completing her education up to post-graduation, she got a University faculty position.  Because of her early marriage with an outstanding physician, son of a distinguished child specialist of Indian sub-continent, her research career was delayed. But she has really made serious efforts in the recent past to compensate this loss. She has 17 research papers in well-reputed international journals to her credit. Attended and delivered talks in reputed academic conferences such as ICIAM, 1999, ICIAM 2003, ICM 2002 and Third World Nonlinear Analysis Conference and 19th and 20th IFIP T7 Conference on System Modeling and Optimization. Invited twice to the Industrial Mathematics Group of Prof. Helmut Neunzert at Kaiserlautarn University and acquired fairly good knowledge of current developments of industrial mathematics. She has been invited to visit ICTP, Trieste, Italy, six times to carry out her research activities for different durations. She was local Secretary of the First International Conference for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in February 2001, the proceedings of which have been published in two volumes, one by Kluwer Academic Publishers in 2002 and another by Anamaya Publishers, 2002. She is the editor of the second volume. She has visited all Subcontinents except Africa and South America for academic work.She is one of the associate editors of the Journal of Samling Theory and Applications,USA.

She has been actively engaged in the organization of international conference by the Society. She has recently coauthored two books, one entitled “Functional Analysis with Applications” and the other entitled “Introduction to Differential Equations with Applications”.
